I thought I’d introduce myself and just give you a snippet of who I am, to see if we’re a good match, then you will feel confident to say ‘YES’ not only to the dress but to having me officiate your marriage.
My name is Emily Brazel and I’m a colourful, creative and compassionate Civil Celebrant that Loves Love! I’m obsessed with all aspects of a wedding. I’m an OCD organiser and have studied Event Planning, I’m a total foodie- of course my business name is Sweet Basil after all and have studied Hospitality Management. I love to see the beauty in everything from the flowers, to the cake and the makeup, I guess that’s why I’m a trained beauty therapist.
I had my own wellness spa for a few years before I decided to have my beautiful baby boy. Therefore, I wish to spoil my couples with all my creations, knowledge and life experiences. I want to keep you both relaxed throughout the whole process, from signing paperwork, working on your ceremony script, choosing your ceremony set-up vision and even a couples massage to calm your nerves before the big day.
My business is called ‘Sweet Basil’ which is a symbol of love. During the Victorian era Sweet Basil conveyed “good wishes” to the receiver.
In Italy, a man who accepted basil from a woman was destined to marry her.
So here’s a bouquet of basil from me to you, because sharing your love story on your special day is what I promise you!
